Q. What is the shelf life of your Shea Butter?

A. The shelf life of our Shea Butter is approximately 2 years. Be sure to always keep the lid on your Shea Butter and keep from storing it in direct sunlight. You will know when Shea Butter has gone bad as it will have a rancid smell. For your convenience each container is stamped with the appropriate expiration date.

Q. How much Retinol is in your product?

A. We use 2.5% Retinol, which is the maximum amount possible without a prescription. 1% is the industry standard; but, we not only provide a larger percentage, we provide a larger total amount of product than most other brands.

Q. Are your products safe?

A. Great question! Simply put, yes, our products are safe.  All of our products are made with primarily natural and organic ingredients, and are paraben and Mercury free!   Our Shea Butter is 100% Natural with no artificial coloring or added ingredients. On top of that, we use a non toxic FDA compliant & BPA Free plastic container and lid.  We take the extra measures which separate us from our competitors and provide you with the safest and most effective products on the market.

Q. How long does it take before I will see results?

A. This is one of the most difficult questions to answer. Age, skin condition, frequency of application, your desired goals and many other factors will determine how long it takes to start seeing results. For example, if you have never used any skin care product prior to this one or have used less expensive and inferior products, your skin will respond quickly and you will most likely see results much sooner than average.   Most if not all individuals should notice an immediate improvement to their skin after the first use in the form of smoother and more hydrated skin. In order to provide an estimated time frame, most individuals will start experiencing a noticeable improvement in their skin within 2-4 weeks.  Those with advanced goals such as diminishing wrinkles and fine lines, pore size, acne scarring, dark spots, etc. will typically take 8-12 weeks. Keep in mind that in most cases, it took many years to develop the condition you are treating and no skin care product exists that can provide instant results, not one that is safe to use.

Q. Is it guaranteed to work?

A. All of our products are backed with a 100% money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, we will fully refund your purchase price.  We do ask that you use the product as recommended, for at least 12 weeks to provide adequate time for the product to work and achieve your desired results. We do recognize that some individual's skin will respond differently to different products. There isn't a skin care product that exists that will treat every person successfully. In the rare occasion that our product does not improve your skin and provide you with your desired results, we will work with you to make you happy, even if it means providing a refund.

Q. How long should I use the Retinol Cream?

A. We recommend you use it only at night as retinol is an intense exfoliator and exposure to the sun after use can cause redness and skin irritation. How often you use it depends on how tolerant your skin is to the product after application. Some redness may occur in the first few days of use as the retinol is causing your skin to shed dead skin cells. However if the redness persists beyond that, you should reduce or discontinue use. We recommend using it 3 days per week at first, then gradually increase usage. It can be used daily if your skin tolerates that frequency without irritation.  Always wear a sunscreen after applying if you are not applying at night and will be exposed to the sun; but, again, we recommend using the retinol cream at night due to its potency and purity.

Q. How long should I use the Dark Spot Corrector and/or Skin Lightening Cream?

A. You should use the product until you achieve your desired results but limit the duration to 3 months. How often you use it depends on how tolerant your skin is to the product after application. We recommend using it daily at first, then build up to twice daily if possible. If you have oily skin, you will experience better results with applications twice daily. You can use it either on specific areas you wish to correct or your entire face. Some redness may occur in the first few days of use due to the fact that your skin is resurfacing. However, if the redness persists after 3 days, you should reduce the frequency of application or discontinue use. Always wear a sunscreen after applying if you are not applying at night and will be exposed to the sun.

Q. Should I use sunscreen with your products?

A. Absolutely! A sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15 and preferably 20-30 should always be worn prior to sun exposure no matter what product you are using but especially when you are using an intense exfoliators. The fresh new layers of skin you will be exposing will be very sensitive and prone to sun damage.
